Yeah, i felt the same as you- i.e. getting paranoid about what i could and couldn't eat. Plus, i found the EFI diet far too stressful, particularly as i don't feel it wroks for me.
Jordy - i'm literally not following any of the EFI principles. I'm drinking coffee, eating dairy products, not watching my SF/IF intake etc etc. I'm just being super strict in not let a hint of gluten pass my lips.
Saw the dietitian this afternoon and she was amazed at the positive response i've had from cutting out gluten (ie minimal bloating and going from having a BM once-twice a week to having it daily). She suspects that i have celiacs but doesn't think it's worth testing for since it means going back to eating gluten and i'm already self-treating it even if i do have it. PLus, i've had problems with my teeth enamel recently which also suggests i've got celiacs so she wants me to eat as much dairy as possible to prevent osteoporosis.
All those who are reading this and following the EFI diet- i'm aware that i'm speaking of a diet other than Heather's but i'm not saying that everyone should follow this. I'm just giving an update on my progress so please don't get mad and thinking i'm hijacking Heather's board/diet.
