Magnesium supplements

Someone told me that magnesium supplements helps with constipation, and I saw somewhere that you should take about 200 mg. Is it possible to take too much? I took the equivalent of 366 yesterday (my tablets are 133 mg) each, and found it much easier to have a BM today than when I just take 2. I don't want to repeat myself, but I drink TONS of water and eat fruits veggies, and take metamucil.
