I totally sympathise becasue my BF thinks that it's all in my head too although he is sympathetic when i am having a particuarly bad day.
However, what hope do we have convincing loved ones that it's not all in our heads when this is exactly what a doctor told me once - "It's all in your head and if you think you are going to be sick you will be."
Be patient with him and stick to the diet. If your will-power crashes and you give into temptation it is confusing for him that sometimes you will eat certain foods and other times you won't- reinforcing the suggestion that it is all in your head.
