Has your DH ever been around when you're having an attack? (Are you C or D?) If he's there on the other side of the bathroom door while you're cursing in pain, screaming or biting your tongue, then he might understand more. Better yet, if you're anything like me after an attack, I'm wiped and need a nap (once everything settles down) and I drag myself around the house. Has he ever had to carry you from the bathroom because you were too weak or your legs were asleep? Then they start to understand the physical strain put on your body.
And yes, tell him your ibs is all in your head! You know it in your head if you eat dairy you'll have trouble with your tum, so you chose not to subject your body to it. Grrr... I hate people who say it is all in your head! It's very frustrating because they have never been through what we deal with daily!
You can tell him you chose to eat they way you do because you feel better this way. If he choses to eat what he wants, why can't you!
Probably wasn't much help for you, but good luck anyways!!
