When you go on the candida diet, how long do you stay on it before you go back to the "IBS" diet again? Are you giving it a fair chance? If you have fungal overgrowth, and you just said you do, you are probably experiencing a "die-off" effect of the toxins leaving your body. You are starving the fungus, the toxins dying off are building inside of your body, and it takes time to feel better. You will feel worse when you start the candida diet and may feel like giving up on it because of how miserable you feel. An antifungal diet is the only thing that helped me get well, and stay well. If I eat too much sugar, processed foods or yeast, after awhile I get the ol' IBS symptoms again. Every one is different and has different experiences, but I would give the candida diet a fair shake. I'm betting within 2 weeks you'll feel much better. You may be one who has to moderate their intake of yeast feeding foods from now on. Do you also take probiotics? They have been very helpful for me as well. I would wait until you get your yeast in check first if you start. Let us know how you make out.....
