Before you stabilize, even one bite of a trigger food can cause an attack. It takes a long time to get to the point where you can cheat a bit, and some people never get there. But giving up a few of those tasty foods is well worth not being in pain. And there are lots of fantastic alternatives out there. Blue Diamond makes an almond chocolate milk that I think tastes better than dairy choc. milk. And there are a few brands of frozen french fries I have found that I can tolerate when they are baked. Since everyone is different, you have to find the ones that work for you.

You can try Bean-O and/or fennel tea for the gas/bloating.
