Cream Cheese -- Sour Cream Question       01/24/08 08:42 AM Edit Reply Quote avjens Reged: 09/13/05 Posts: 113 Loc: Iowa On two ocassions recently I was faced with the following 1. friends house and they made party potatoes (which I love) that has cream cheese (I saw the box and it said 1/3less fat) I did eat it because I was weak and ended up with terrible bloating. 2. Ate at another friend's house and they made a mexican dish and without thinking I ate light sour cream on the dish. Now the light sour cream did not bother me. Does anyone know why cream cheese would bother me but not the sour cream. I have noticed this in the past too, where I can get by with sour cream but I cannot with cream cheese -- there is a definate different consistancy, but what else -- they both have dairy in them which is a big no no for IBSers.
