When I went to the second GI doc for the endoscopy, I had told him that every now and then I'd get a dull ache in my chest area and he said that that was heartburn. The encoscopy revealed about 6 irritation marks on the lining of my stomach which was producing the acid. So I had to avoid eating acidic foods or take Tums 15minutes before eating acidic foods. I was on Omeprezol for about 30 days and that cleared up the irritations. I don't feel that dull ache anymore.
