Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Re: My Year in 2007 Review (Long)

I understand where youre coming from Wendee. I am kissing the year 2007 goodbye and good riddance! I had open heart surgery and then this IBS stuff started after that. You had said that your endoscopy came back with you having acid reflux? Well I just had an endoscopy today because my GI doctor thinks I might have Celiac cause of the weight I am losing. But so far mine also came back with acid reflux, he said my esophogus was inflamed. Well I dont think I've had heart burn ever! Do you have heart burn? My doc. sent out the biopsy so I am still waiting to find out if I have Celiac. Ugh, I think that stress seems to play a huge part in this whole IBS thing. I was in Arizona for the holidays and had mashed potatos and seemed fine. But I also wasnt stressed. I've also given my husband the job of paying the bills so I can try to de-stress some more. I too get "d" in the morning and I dont eat breakfast. I dont know I wish there was just a magical answer for all of this dont you? Just someone to say "heres your problem and heres what you do about it." Hopefully we will all figure this thing out eventually! Heres to a new and healthier year!
