Most beans we eat are soaked (as they are done in making hummus, I believe chickpeas bought in cans are soaked) making them more digestible. The only reason I would not have beans is if they caused gas. I do eat hummus just not everyday and not in huge amounts. I have had some beans but don't like the taste too much. You should be fine as long as you're not eating a ton of them. For example if I was eating broccoli one day I probably wouldn't eat beans simply because the two are gassy.
