My guess is that your IBS body's way of reacting to the chemo is different - it's stressing your body out. Are you taking a SF supplement? That can really help with diarrhea and cramping. It can take time to work up to a high dose, but once you get there you can have great results. Can your oncologist talk to, or refer you to, a GI doctor, maybe one who's dealt with chemo patients before? It sounds like an intersection of two usually separate realms. It might take some time for you to start feeling better, especially if you decide against medicine and just go with the diet and SF supplement. I'd do your best to keep yourself calm and pampered, and hope that it either passes or starts to respond to the diet and SF, which can take some time.
