Most instant teas, except herbal teas, contain caffeine - a GI stimulant. It is recommended that IBSers eliminate caffeine from their diet.

Soda pop such as Sprite or 7-Up or Coca-Cola contain HFCS which will not be broken down during the cooking process. If you are sensitive to excess fructose cooking will not help.
