If you suspect you have a yeast/fungal condition, then you will certainly want to follow a low carb diet...eliminate sugars, grains, yeast for awhile. Sometimes yeast overgrowth can cause/mimic(?) IBS symptoms. Does for me, anyway. I feel so much better when I moderate my intake of sugar and grains. However, some have been helped with Heather's diet, which as you pointed out, is quite different. If you are not helped by one, try the other. Change is the key.
