and I've also had Naked Juice brand smoothies. They are immensely expensive, but they don't bother me at all. Just try to remember to not drink them on an empty tummy. Sometimes I'm so hungry/thirsty I'll grab one and gulp part of it down before I think, oh yeah, my tummy's empty. Ooops. It's true though, making your own is so much cheaper and more economical. Ascorbic acid is just vitamin C. I've had Naked Juice more often than Odwalla but they are nice because they don't have added 'stuff' in them.
One of these days I would love to have a Juicer and a new blender.
Another thing I do when I do buy these types of smoothie blends is I don't drink them all at once, I space it out into a couple of servings. I drink some, put the cap back on and save the rest for later. They are by far not cheap, but I'll treat myself to one or a few once every month or so if I have the money.
And like with all things, your tolerances may be different than other people's. It probably won't hurt you to try one.
