Hi,
I have IBS-C and have had acid reflux forever. I also have rheumatoid arthritis and the meds I take for that are the culprits. I had a gastritis flare while on Prilosec (per an upper endoscopy) and am now on Nexium (and carafate as needed). Prior to all of this, several of the other PPIs caused nausea and diarrhea. Nexium is currently the strongest and my insurance co didn't want to pay for it. But, with a letter from my MD, they do.
Good luck, Traveler
