If your doctor hasn't run all the tests to diagnose you with IBS then your MUST do that above all things. You don't need to have problems daily to have IBS. If you need to, find another GI doctor who will run the tests and listen to you.

You MUST strictly follow the diet, including no triggers at all, especially when you're trying to stablize.

Taking a probiotic WILL NOT give you a license to eat anything you want. It may decrease your symptoms but you will still need to avoid triggers.
