Hi all,
Since following Heather's diet and using acacia, I have found my IBS-D is better. I seem to now be alternating a bit between D and C, but not drastically. I have noticed that my BMs are usually much more formed, which is great! However, lately, the frequency has increased a little. I now go on average 4-7 times a day. They are almost always mostly formed, and not usually a lot in terms of volume. I'm just not sure what I should take to decrease the frequency? And my other worry is that the reason the frequency has increased is because I'm a very active person, and I play several sports. I know that higher level of activity helps most people to "go" more. So maybe this is also contributing to the frequency issue? I really do NOT want to stop playing because not only is it a great source of exercise, but it is a big part of my life and I am convinced that it helps with my stress relief. So I might just be batting my head against a wall -- thoughts? I do take imodium from time to time if I really get tired of the frequency, but that causes me more C than I like usually. Does anyone think the hypno with help? I've gotten through 1/4th of the program, and it already seems to be improving how I deal with stress. Are there any other medications/supplements that might help with frequency? I already take calcium (not just for IBS, but also because osteoporosis runs in my family). Again, sorry for all the questions. Any help would be really appreciated! Thanks so much.
