Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Ulcers and the medication

I guess I'm not really asking for advice since there is not much to offer but just wanted to vent. I have ended up with ulcers (my third case) and the meds I have to take are messing my stomach up bad. For those who do not know I have to take what is know as a PrevPac which is 1500 mg of antibiotic twice a day, so that is 3000 a day. It has a Prevacid which I take first and then I will wait about 15 minutes and take the 500 mg of Biaxin, I DETEST the taste, and then two 500 each mg of amoxicillin. Needless to say the bathroom has became my second home due to the D and the nasua. I have some Phenegan but that just makes me want to curl up and go to sleep. I have to take this for two weeks and then go have another blood test done for the H.Pylori bacteria. Then in a month or so an upper EG, or whatever it is called when they run the light into your stomach. My husband has actually hit upon a trick that has helped the last two days and I eat some soda crackers, sip on a warm Sprite, I know soda is not good but it does seem to help and then take the meds and eat more crackers. All the while SIP on the warm soda. IBS and ulcers are not fun but I guess I will learn to let go of stuff that get to me. Thanks all for listening to my vent.
