Acidity is not always a problem. Remember your stomach is very acidic. Most pure juices are not nearly as acidic as the digestive juices in your stomach.

However, pure cranberries like many other berries contain less fructose than glucose. Unfortunately many commercial juices add HFCS or they add juices from other fruits that have more fructose than glucose (e.g. apple, pear and mango).

Juices that contain more fructose than glucose can produce GI distress (e.g. gas, bloating and D) in the normal individuals and the IBS population.

The amount of excess fructose that can be tolerated varies significantly from individual to individual. Some individuals can tolerate very little.

Pure cranberry juice is safe for many types of IBS suffers.
