Re: GERD meds       05/08/07 08:59 PM Edit Reply Quote SNH Reged: 05/05/07 Posts: 6 Hi Julie You sound like me! I am IBS d and lactose intolerant. I was also om Previcid for about 7 years. Sometimes it helped sometimes not. I switched to another med ( can't remember the name) and again sometimes good and sometimes not. I stopped all GERD meds about 3 months ago. I had read that there were some could be some other health issues in people who used these meds long term so I decided to try an experiment. I stopped and I feel fine. I very occasional heartburn but an OTC med works fine. This is just my experience so please check with your doctor before you do anything. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
