I personally printed of every single page in the eating for ibs notes you can find on site and sat through highlighting and re reading until it got stuck in my head! when i try simplify the diet (say to a friend) i'd say it is eating regular and small meals, always basing a meal around soluble fibre such as white bread, white rice, white pasta, quiona, potatoes etc and acacia fibre supplements u can buy on the site, then encoperating insoluble fibre such as veggies, fruits (except bannana and mango they r soluble fibre) carefully. other triggers include dairy products, red meat, alchohol and fatty meals. if you can order both of heathers books and have a real good luck at the recipe boards. if your ibs-d start of on the simple diet suggested on site to get your tummy calm, you eat a lot of plain bread, rice, potatoes etc for a couple of days. the diet will take time and a lot of reading but it works! i find i only take 1 dose of imodium every couple of weeks when i am stressed or fall of the diet, so its a mega improvement, i used to take immodium every1 2.
