If you test positive, you may also ask your doctor about a prescription for nystatin, an antifungal. There are many research articles that tell about candida proliferating and even perforating the bowel. They have also shown antifungal programs have helped patients with these problems. Without an official diagnosis, I suppose one could eliminate the yeast feeding foods and see if it helped the symptoms. You would then know the cause...Bottom line, you want to get well again.
