I had a lot of heartburn a while back. The Dr did a upper GI scope and found out that I had an irritated spot, like an ulcer, on my lower esophogus. I had lots of nausea, and could hardly eat anything. Mind you...this was on top of my IBS! He put me on Prilosec and within a week I felt so much better.
