While on the pill, your ovaries could basically take a break & now they need to kick into gear again. If your periods were normal before you went on the pill, chances are that it will just take a little while for your ovaries to get you regulated again. It sounded from your note like the cramping occured just during the first 2 weeks after you stopped the pill -- if it's continuing, then I would definitely check in with your doctor.
