early in the week I had my period which throws me off anyway and sugery was yesterday AM.. anyway- I have had a on of gas and no BM since Weds... HELP... I can't get up easily and am wary of throwing things off the other way- I have a history of being IBS A and going from C to bad D... but I've been under control most of the time for awhile now...
I only missed yesterdays acacia powder- no intake from midnight night before surgery, etc...
I did come home feeling really nauseaus but I know why. Puked 3 hours later and since then have been fine.. the stupid nurse- everyone else was great- doc, anesthesiologist, etc.. I have demerol for pain and no NSAIDS because of what they do to me... anyway- in the recovery room coming out from sedation I had 4 saltines and then she gave me demerol and sent me home... I wasn't awake enough to question her yet...oh boy.. but once I puked my guts out over one tiny piece of luna bar 3 hours later.. I even at spaghetti with red sauce later in the day... that end is fine.. its the bloat, gas, and lack of BM that worries me. ANy suggestions- without the nsaids I have at least 24 more hours of foot above heart level so laying in bed before I can switch to just elevated foot 80% of the time. and raising it over heart with ice if it starts swelling ot get the swelling back down...
