I started Heather's Acacia Powder about 2 months ago (2nd try). Have done great this time, really like it, working good. I'm up to using 1 TBS. and 1 tsp. per day now. Only mix it with iced tea. Developed a severe rash/itching about 2 weeks ago. Dr. gave me Zyrtec and a 5-day course of steriods. Rash got better quickly but took the last steriod yesterday and rash has been getting steadily worse again. Starting to itch again today. I have racked my mind and cannot think of ANYTHING I have changed or eaten different then usual except the acacia powder. But, I did fine on it for about 1 1/2 months. Does that make sense that I could take it for a while with no problems and then have it start affecting me? I hate to stop taking it to test if it is the culprit because it takes some time to work up to the right dosage and I'm doing so well on it right now. I've never had any allergies before, not even seasonal. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something like this with acacia before I quit using it to see if the rash goes away. Which I really hate to do, but guess I might not have any other choice. Any thoughts from anyone would be appreciated.
