Newbie here.
Stumbled onto the site.

Never had any probs at all until about 7 years ago. And now don't dare go anywhere without my bag of Emetrol, Immodium, Kaeopectate, charcoal capsules, glucose tablets, etc.

Just started using the SFS and Heather's teas.
Haven't tried the cookbook yet, as Im still on banannas & rice. Recovering from a recent bad IBS-D attack that ended in a trip to the ER. The dehydration and cramps caused my blood sugar to crash and me to black out briefly.

This has happened about 3 times in the last 5-7 years.

I usually avoid dairy and high fiber cereals, as eating starchy cereals(corn flakes or whatever) does nothing for me, I do much better with protien in the AM, or nothing at all.

Question is this:

How do those of you who have low blood sugar handle the starchy diets reccomended?

I also have sarcoidosis, limited to my lungs for now, and also asthma, currently using Advair for the asthma.

Anyone here using Advair, and does it affect your IBS?

Also my last lab tests showed high calcium levels in my blood, is this linked to IBS?

Doc was concerned that the sarcoid was also in my stomach, but it was normal.

My doc hasn't mentioned IBS at all, it was suggested to me by a friend, but I have a colonoscopy & some other tests scheduled in a couple of weeks, so I will know more soon.

Thanks for the site, Lots of good info here.
