Once you get stable, sometimes you can sneak a bit of something that was formerly off limits. But until then, stick to the diet and make sure that you try all the options and alternative treatments and supplements and exercises to find what works right for you. Have you incorporated Acacia fiber into your diet or tried hypno yet? They are both very effective. I hardly ever have to take Imodium anymore. Most of what I do is diet. I also use hypno & acacia and have made a couple of lifestyle changes. There are some people who control IBS with diet alone. Others have to use different things to maintain.
