I also get plagued with sinus infections and as a teenager throat infections. I never take antibiotics. IN the last 10 years I have taken 3 courses - 1 for a chronic bronchitis and two for nasty cases of mastitis when I was breastfeeding. I think I am better off fighting infections myself - I hate to take medications anyway. My son who is almost 4 had so many infections as an infant (ears, throat, upper respitory etc) and it seemed he just got worse and worse and needed stronger and stronger doses. I do think they are necessary sometimes but I always decide to give it a couple more days figuring if no improvement then I'll go to the Doc but usually by then I am starting to improve.
