Yeah, I get your point. The thing is that we (my sister and I) had decided on chicken and potatoes, carrots, red beets and avocado to make it simple for them. We just specified that it had to be non-dairy, low fat and not too spicy. But to end up with a plate of dry unseasoned stuff was a bit surprising. They hadn't even used salt. I managed to find some mustard in my sister's kitchen, but that was ultra strong (they like everything that way ) so I could only use a little of it...

I agree though, when going out it's probably best if you can find something on the menu that is easy to adapt to the IBS-needs and then just tell them exactly what to do with it.
