Elavil is, at least to my experience (my boyfriend was on it), a weaker, low-dose antidepressant. Are you especially anxious or depressed? If Elavil helped you at one point, but doesn't make a difference now, maybe you need to be on something stronger. I'm assuming you check in with your doctor on a regular basis, too... if you haven't had a physical and tests anytime recently, you might consider seeing your doctor.
