I feel so CLEANSED on the rare instances that I'm D, but one thing I forget about is the pain... I could deal with the inconvenience (I work from home and don't get out much), but I'm pretty sure the gut-wrenching pain would get old quickly. I wonder if the pain from IBS constipation is different from "regular" constipation. I was once constipated from pain meds after surgery and it just wasn't all that bad. Uncomfortable, but not day-wrecking. On my bad days, I can barely function - I hurt all over and just feel awful.
