The only thing I think would be "nice" about being D is that people can understand it better. If you tell someone you have IBS, they assume you're D, and they'll make accomodations for you. They'll get it when you say you can't spend all day on a speedboat or don't feel like going out ... but when you're C and just have a bloated gut and an all-over toxic feeling, you don't get nearly the sympathy.
