Hi all, I have not posted in a while, not because I got better.......just dealing with the same old IBS stuff and never find a solution. Anyway, I need help with two things, one is I have always been a D IBSr and I am so bloated and cannot have a BM it's got me worried. I don't know what to take for constipation. I have stopped all my RX meds for IBS, Librax, Levsin, I have been continuing my Acacia, I have been taking the pepperming caps, and fennel tea, and drinking lots of water, but I have absolutely no appetite and I look like I'm 7 month pregnant. I tried MOM yesterday and today, with very little relief and my mother in law suggested prune juice.........All in all, I DO NOT want to go to the ER because they never do anything anyway........any suggestions on how I can get this moving????

My second question is, I am scheduled for a Hysterectomy December 15 and I want any advice regarding keeping my bowels working properly through the anesthesia, hsopitilization, 36 hours of no food, etc. Do I continue with my fiber in the hospital and during my 36 hour no solids. I just know that when I have a colonoscopy, I usually don't have a BM for 5 days afterwards, but now I'm worried about the pain from the hysterectomy along with the pain from no BM's .............any help please.

Cheryl who is very desperate to poop......sorry, I thought I NEVER say that.
