Re: EMBARASSING PROBLEM - PLEASE HELP       10/02/06 11:21 AM Edit Reply Quote tml Reged: 02/06/05 Posts: 18 One of the things that made me know that my husband was the right one for me was how sympathetic he was about my IBS. He knew that it was really difficult to go through, let alone discuss. I joke now about how he said "so worse case scenario you'll have to wear diapers, right?" (which never came to be, but him saying that made what I was going through look like not such a big deal). Later I remember him doing things like putting a roll of toilet paper in the cup holder when we went on trips, taking stool samples an hour to the hospital, and comforting me when I went through my colonoscopy prep. He handled it all with grace and a sense of humor. Honesty is important in relationships. You can still be tactful, and, no pun intended, this will all blow over.
