Hang in there! It takes time - both to stabilize, and to get back in the habit of eating without overthinking it - but you will get there.

After a few months, yes, you should have been adding more foods quite a long time ago. Make yourself a goal to add a "new" food to your diet every other day... and make them good... sources of insoluble fiber, a new seasoning, something prepared a different way. Eating well does NOT have to be boring or nutritionally devoid - quite to the contrary! I'm eating better, and a better variety of food, than I ever have in my life!

Just remember to start with smallish portions - you don't want to over do it - and if it's IF, do eat your SF first.

Eating out is hard even when you ARE back to eating somewhat normally. You can try a board search for restaurant food, and see what others have tried. Sushi, believe it or not, is one of the safest options out there, once you can handle small amounts of raw vegetables. Some of us can eat Indian, if you go with tandoori or something else that isn't drowned in a sauce. Pasta and plain sauce is an option, as are grilled chicken and fish, baked potatoes, and steamed vegetables.

Anyway, hang in there. It gets easier, I promise.
