I take it with my tea each night and that is probably 12 oz. They say to try it for at least a month, so it could take up to that long to have the full effect. It is my understanding that Miralax is totally different than Zelnorm. And yes, the Miralax should help if there is a c effect with the other medicine you were prescribed. Hope this helps! Good luck!
