prescription Amitiza and other drugs i took

Has anyone taken Amitiza? its for chronic constipation, i took it for a while to find out it didn't help me, I've quit taking my Gycolax(seemed to not help at all), Chlordiaz, amitiza, benefiber(didn't help, why? How come not one doctor told me fennel tea helps or peppermint is good to add to your diet, no i get all these prescriptions that do nothing. Well since i started taking the fennel tea, its been helping, now i'm waiting for my peppermint capsule order.
