Hi,
I know not all of these questions are diet related but I thought I'd ask anyway. I will be having a hysterectomy soon and my IBS is not very stable even now. I fear the physical stress of surgery will likely not help. Is the best choice for food while in the hospital a low residue diet?? I have adenomyosis. (The endometrial tissue has grown into the muscle layer of the uterus. Each month when bleeding and sloughing should occur this results in bleeding into the mucle layer, uterine growth and extreme pain for about 4 days.) I have been taking Toradol which is a strong NSAID. These drugs can cause GI bleeds. I only use the drugs for the 4 days each month I need them, but I'm worried about taking them this month. Does anyone have any info that could help me???
