I wasn't strictly following the IBS diet at the time. The anesthesia made me VERY sick and couldn't keep food down for at least a day. But do remember that the anesthesia is going to make you C pretty much no matter what you do. Mine lasted a few days, I remember. Just be patient, and keep taking the MoM! And also do as much walking post-op as you can. A few hours after my surgery they had me walking up and down the hallway outside my room! Good luck - if you haven't had the surgery yet!
