Like you I'm working through Eating for IBS. I just wanted to mention to you that my pharmacist once told me that pepto bismal is one of the worst things for your stomache. I can't remember specifically her reasoning but I can tell you that I use to take pepto all the time. The day I'd take them I was good, but later that evening and the next day, I had wicked D. I am strictly on the immodium kick now. This may not affect you at all, or it could play a small part. I just wanted to offer some feedback that was given to me a while back.
