I am now on day 5 of Effexor and have increased from 37.5 mg/day to 75 mg/day (two doses). The first day I took it, I took it in the morning and I felt WEIRD all day. First, I got dizzy and nauseous, but that went away after an hour or so. Then the rest of the day I just felt "out of it"; not sure how else to describe it. I felt much better the second day, and haven't noticed much in the way of side effects since then. I am completely off the Prozac now, so hopefully things will start to "balance out" soon. I found out that Effexor worked really well for my mom and also a cousin, and ADs typically work similarly for family members, so my doctor agreed it was a good route to go. I also plan to start the hyno CDs this week, so I'm excited about getting myself back on track. 
Not sure yet if the sexual side effects are still an issue.
