Could it be that your anxiety about flying is triggering this? Anxiety is a major trigger for me. How much Immodium are you taking? You might need to take one before every meal until things calm down. Be sure not to exceed the daily recommended dose however. Have you tried an antispasmodic medication, like Levsin?
