Let me start by apologizing in advance if this is not the right board for my post. I'm just quite miserable right now because of my unabating symptoms, and stress from an upcoming 25 hour flight and really need some support.

I've consulted with 2 gastoentologists, and they are of the opinion I have IBS, becuase it can't be anything else. I've gotten half a dozen blood tests, 4 different stool tests, physical examinations and an ultrasound. Its all clear. The doctors suggested that I go in for colonoscopy as well, but both of them also said that its only for my comfort and its highly improbable that anything would be found. So I decided not to go in, considering I leave my country in a week's time for a year of graduate study, I don't want any complications from the colonoscopy, however remote.

I plan to get Heather's products as soon as I reach the US, and the dietary suggestions on this site have also helped me. I do have one concern about my diagnosis, and was just wondering if other IBS sufferers can take me out of my confusion.

My frequency of going to the loo is 3-4 times on good days, and 8-12 on the bad ones. I've been seeing more bad days than good recently. There are two things, however, that put me into doubt of whether I really have IBS:

1) Abdominal pain or cramping is not a major complain with me. Although I have it at times, my major nuisance is the high frequency.

2) Diahorrea generally implies loose stools, however, in my case the form is normal. Just the frequency is unnerving.

Does anyone else suffer from IBS in the same form.
