I had a c-section about 19 months ago. I used to have IBS-D and went at least 5 times a day. After my c-section, I had complications, I wasn't able to pass, some of my bowel was kinked. It did resolve itself after medications....
Now i find I am not going regularly and sometimes not for a few days. I get in so much pain, and oddly, I cannot "make love to my husband. Because I get in so much pain.....
I hadn't gone in a few days but my stomach has increased in size and I haven't gained weight...(I'm not pregnant) but even after a few days of not going, then I almost "explode"

I am not sure what really going on inside my gut, but I know the pain and constipation has gotten worse overtime so I am kind of relating the pain to my bowels..
I am happy that I am at least going, but its causing a lot of pain. Now instead of avoiding things, I'm trying to do things to get me going....
Are stool softners ok?
Can these new symtpoms be a result from the complications of the c-section? I am going to my doctor on Wednesday and requesting another referral to a gasto.
