From my experience this is what I've found. I do get C if I take too much Imodium (to stop the D, sometimes I take too much by accident). Eating IF helps me go. Acacia does not help me go, but does help form better stool, as well as cut down on the pain and cramping. So from my experience, upping the amount of IF will help you go, and upping the amount of SF will help with the other symptoms.

A note on the bran: I can't tolerate it at all. I find taking IF in other forms such as fruit and veggies is much easier to tolerate, less painful, and still keeps me regular. You could try eating bran safely with other SF but maybe try veggies.
