Acacia dosage and IBS-A

What is a typical dosage for an IBS-D? I have been D for almost a year. However, now I am experiencing something a little different. I will have cramps like I'm constipated and when I finally go...it comes out as D. Is this IBS-A, if so, what is the prescription med that Aers take?
