Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Re: How much IF should an IBS-C eat daily ??

I posted a message earlier today thanking you for your message yesterday, but it's not in the board anymore. Thank you for taking the time to try to help me. I have an appt. with my GI doctor tomorrow, the last time I saw him(6 months ago)I was having bad C but not now, at least I don't think so. As I said before I have a BM every morning, but my bowels never relax, always upset and gets very painful. I'm thinking of writing down all I eat in my daily diet and show it to the Dr. Maybe there is something I'm eating that's causing the problem. Sometimes I feel that I'm eating too much IF in my daily diet and that's causing me pain all the time. I don't know, I'm so confused and frustrated. Do you or anybody else know how much IF an IBS-C should eat daily?? I want my pain to stop, but I don't want to get C...it's so scary. I know I need to eat enough IF to have a BM daily, but how much is enough, I'm not sure. I would appreciate the help and the info, please and thank you.
