The one I had cost £250, but luckily my private health insurance covered it (or rather my dad's did). For £250 they checked for 113 foods, there are cheaper versions which check against less foods, but I figured what's the use of that?!
It's a home thing - they send you a kit in a box. You prick your finger with this clever needle/button thing and squeeze blood out of it, then soak it into a wand until it is compltetely saturated. It took 6 fingers for me to do it, but it's only supposed to take one - I've always had stubborn blood! Then you just seal it up and send it back to them.
You get back your results, which are really clear and helfpul, a little folder of stuff both focussed on your specific intolerances and general advice/a food diary to help with eliminating them. With the £250 version you also got 2 telephone consultations with a qualified nutritionist, though I haven't got round to using my second one yet...
