Re: IBS and antibiotics       05/19/06 03:33 PM Edit Reply Quote FlourGirl Reged: 03/23/06 Posts: 15 Since the beginning of the year I have taken quite a few antibiotics which caused this IBS trapped gas pains. I experience it over my right hip (started out on the left side but migrated). I was just about recovered when I had to take another antibiotic for a urinary tract infection and once again I have the gassy sticking feelings over my hip and sometimes down my lower back over the buttock area. This is not fun and I saw a gastrointestinal physician who told me to go off all meds and take it easy. I'm lactose intolerant now as well (from the meds).
